The Legend of David (2009)
"The Legend of David" by FCRabbath, a movie both evocative and suspenseful, begins with what looks like a dream...a mother carrying a small baby through the tall grass. This otherwise romantic scene quickly reverts to a nightmare when the hollow-eyed mother places the baby on the ground and, with only a backward glance, returns to her home to die by fire. Strong hands lift the baby from the ground. And the nightmare continues.
Twenty-three years later, the baby has grown into a grotesque, deformed, blood-soaked creature. He lives with Anton, a loving man who has adopted him, and tries to teach him good things. Anton, unfortunately, also lives with an abusive son, who callously mistreats both his father and his adopted brother. After evil son George accidentally knifes Anton in a fit of anger over a hidden box of money, David is left with no one to watch out for his welfare

While the aesthetic is appealing and the concept is appealing, the acting and dialogue are absolutely appalling, and the plot devices and characterization are purely elementary.
