Movie prequel to the Award-winning mega succesful video game Assassin's Creed II that centres around Giovanni Auditore de Firenze, the father of the game's main character. As an assassin, Giovanni lives during the Renaissance (15th century Italy). A conspiracy is being plotted to overthrow the powerful Medici family and destroy a unified Italy at this dawn of a new era. Giovanni must face this threat and save Medicis from aggresive conspirators. Assassin's Creed: Lineage combines all three short films based on the universe of the succesful video game Assassin's Creed. Produced by Ubisoft, the game company itself with a promotional goal for the game and as an attempt for Ubisoft to make its first step in the film industry. Movie is directed by Canadian film director Yves Simoneau.
