Eagle in a Cage (1972)
Eagle in a Cage (1972)
This film is a rare gem. It focuses on Napoleon Bonaparte's exile in Saint Helene island. Very interesting indeed. Talkative without being boring, it explains some things about the character. How he feels when he watches his glorious past, his thoughts about his failures, his successes. His life. The characters study is well made. The shooting was probably on location and splendidly done. Directed by Fielder Cook. With John Gielgud, Ralph Richardson, Billie Whitelaw.
