Nice story, but it seems to be very one-sided. No coverage or input from anyone of an oposing argument. For a film that spend so much time (as it is pretty lenghty) presenting only one side, I'd file it more under propoganda then documentary.
why didn't they show the live footage where you could see the press getting beaten and shot by the chavistas?? how can you silence a camera filming in an peacefull protest against chaves, where you see poeple die-ing because of a headshots !! and question ... will you produce more goods than you can sell?? of course if you do this your production will increase but will your sales do to compansate your expenses??
I don't believe this movie was meant as a critical view of a socialist state that movie was meant to show the progression that socialism has bought to Venezuela. I understand your concerns for the human injustice that exist over there but this witness of injustice in every nation of government. No one is safe under any rule of power. In capitalism this exist as well but of course American media control by our government doesn't allow the many injustice that happens under American soil to be scrutinize. Yes Chavez is wrong in his doing of this, But I do believe this movie is a great look on how a socialist state can be successful in curing society ills like health care, homelessness, poverty, and vast inequality. Such qualities like these that has plague human societies for many years, are segments that deserve a full dedication and a full observation which is what this movie does. I believe this movie is fine the way it is. A segment on the human injustice, is a movie that needs that deserve its own spotlight that needs to focus on on human injustice that exist in all systems of power.
